Dutch giants Ajax has affirmed that Matthijs de Ligt has not gone with the pre-season squad as his transfer to Juventus awaits.
The Italian giants Juventus has made a second offer to Ajax for the youthful Dutch defender and it is probably going to be enough to persuade the Dutch side to sell the player. The Old Lady has finally consented to personal terms with the Holland International.
According to Dutch daily De Telegraaf, Juventus were forced to increase their initial bid of 50 million euros to 70 million euros plus variable to meet the demands of Ajax, who initially valued the 19-year-old defender at 75 million euros.
However, Ajax has now confirmed that the defender has not travelled as he awaits a possible transfer to Juventus.
“Ajax started in the afternoon with 28 players to Bramberg, in Austria. De Ligt does not travel with the team waiting for possible transfer.”
