The Super Eagles of Nigeria have been ranked 48th in the world and 5th in Africa in the new Fifa ranking.
Super Eagles who defeated Seychelles 3-0 on September 8 has put themselves back in contention for a place at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Seychelles dropped a spot from 188th to 189th in the rankings, while Libya, who are to face Nigeria in their next group game of the AFCON qualifier next month are placed 99th in the world rankings.
Tunisia tops Africa ranking as they are placed in 1st position followed by Senegal and Congo DR being 2nd and 3rd respectively, while Nigeria is 5th in Africa with 1410 points.
The next FIFA World Ranking will be announced on the 25th of next month.
