The general elections which were supposed to be held yesterday the 16th February 20werewas postponed in the early hours of Yesterday by the INEC commissioner.
INEC earlier through a post on their official made the announcement that the 2019 presidential and state elections had been postponed to 23rd of February and 9th of March respectively due to logistical reasons.
However top Nigerian celebrities like Falz, Davido, Reekado Banks, Seyi Shay, Omotola J., Toke Makinwa have all condemned the act by INEC as gross negligence.
See some of their Tweet below:
You don’t wait till hours before the polls – when millions of people were committed to it by traveling and making plans around – when you could have done same weeks and months before. I have exams on the 23rd for starters. Some probably have weddings. Flights. This is a MESS!

You had one job to do, 4 years to prepare, 4 solid years to prepare and you play us like this??? I’m at a loss for words

We need to scrap NYSC.
Corpers are seen and often treated as free, non-skilled, disposable, non-employees foisted on establishments by government. They are scarcely afforded decent conditions of service or dealt with in accordance to labour laws.
