Senator Dino Melaye’s mother, Deaconess Comfort Melaye is dead

Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial district, Dino Melaye mother Deaconess Comfort Melaye is dead. The senator revealed this via a Tweet on his Twitter page on the 2nd of May 2019.

He wrote:

”With total submission to the will of the Almighty God, I on behalf of the Melaye’s announce the passing into Glory of our beloved mother. Deaconess Comfort Melaye.  We thank God for Godly life she lived. I love you my mother and friend. We shall surely meet again. Sen. Dino M.”

In another post he wrote:

You are still alive because you live in me. I know you will never leave me my dependable mother, sister and best friend. You were more than just a mother. You gave your tomorrow for my today. Mummy the cloud is without form, but I take solace in the fact that we shall see again.

Meanwhile, Former Nigerian Vice President and the People’s Democratic Party presidential candidates at the last 2019 general elections have sent his condolence message to the Senator via a Tweet on his official Twitter page.

According to Atiku, there is no substitute for a mother.

Senator Saraki also sent his condolence message to the Senator via a Tweet on his official Twitter page. He wrote:

My heartfelt prayers and sincere condolences go out to Senator Dino Melaye and his entire family over the passing of their beloved mother, Deaconess Comfort Melaye. I pray that the Almighty grants her eternal rest and gives the family the fortitude to bear this significant loss.

However, the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has commiserated with the senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Dino Melaye, over the death of his mother, Deaconess Comfort Melaye whose sad event took place Thursday, 2nd of May, 2019.

In a condolence message to Dino, Bello described the news of Deaconess Melaye’s death as

“a rude shock and great loss not only to Kogi State but Nigeria in general, given her invaluable contributions to the cause of humanity.”
